Two men wanted to build their ideal homes. One decided time was of the essence so he cut corners and decided to build his house on sand. The other decided doing it right was more important than how long it took, so he built his house on the rock. By the time the man who built his house on the sand had finished, the man who was building on the rock had only just finished digging out the foundations. The man who’d built on the sand laughed at the man who was building on the rock and flaunted his success. The man who built his house on the rock eventually finished building his house and was satisfied with his work.
Soon after the man on the rock had finished building his house a fierce storm swept through the region. The man who had built his house on the sand soon found his house starting to fall apart. As the storm finished the man who’d built his house on the sand could see the house of the man who’d built on the rock still standing, firm and secure as if nothing had happened to it. Too late, he realised the mistake he had made?

Who we listen to determines what we learn
When we apply what we learn we grow
What we grow into depends on who’s lead we take in applying what we know
Who leads us is decided by where we want to go
Where we want to go determines who we follow
Who we follow is who we lead others to
This raises two important question for each of us to answer:
How did you decide who you listen to and ultimately leads you?
Where are you leading those who follow your lead to?
